Hometown High School Wins WPIAl Championship

So my high school recently won the Quad A championship. My high school, Pine-Richland, recently went up to the quad a level. To be in the Quad A section you have to have so many kids in the high school. Quad is the highest you can go. My high school has not been so good ever since moving up there. Finally this year the team went undefeated! They beat everyone on their schedule even the state champs. So they went to playoffs and qualified to play at heinz field and play the state champs again. They actually beat them again. Next year they will not be good by loosing 21 seniors but at least they made a statement.

Outdoor Pursuits

Today I got to go to the arch and rock climb. I was nervous cause I have not rock climbed in ages and it was my first time belaying. Belaying is the person that tightens the rope when the person that is climbing. So I went first out my 3 person group to rock climb. I was instructed to go up not that far so the person belaying can get a feel for belaying. We all did that. Then it was my turn to belay. I did better than I thought I did. It is a lot of work to belay. After the day I couldn't get all the way to the top but next time that is my goal.

Carrot

So I was just looking through the app store and came across this app called Carrot. You simply  having a to-do list does not guarantee you’ll get anything done. In fact, most of our to-do lists start with “Make a To-Do List,” just so we can cross something off. With CARROT, your to-do list becomes a game, and you get more done because of it. Whether you accomplish your tasks and CARROT rewards you, or you upset it is totally up to you and your productivity. I thought this was pretty cool. I started to use it and I get more things done.

Watching Football on the Ipad

Last night my dad was on a business trip and he could not get the Steeler Game on T.V. He did not want to go to a resurant and spend money watching the game. So he called me asking if he could somehow watch the Steeler game on his Ipad. I first made sure that he wifi at the hotel and he did. I told him to download the ESPN app. Once he did that he created an account on ESPN and I told him to find a button on the app where you can link the app with our T.V company. He wasn't able to find our televison company but I told him to find a search button. He finally found it and told him to do my email and password. Then he was able to watch the game on his ipad. He was so happy. I felt proud of myself.
